Once, in the murky waters in an unknown lake, surrounded by cliffs on all sides, the sun barely touching the water down below, and beautiful flowers and vines covering the rocks, a boy emerged. He looked around, wondering where he was. The water turned crystal clear where he was stepping, as if the water obeyed him. Once he stepped out into the soft surprisingly not grainy sand, peppered with tiny shiny pebbles that were on their way to becoming sand, he grabbed onto a vine. His steps on the sand were a golden lighter hue, leaving his footprints a bright contrast to the surrounding ground. The vine, as if on command, sprouted bright yellow dandelions and soft pastel roses. The boy started climbing. The vines caught his hands on each reach to the top, and the cliffside gave him openings and steps for him to climb on. The water below turned clear, and little fishes down below started glowing. The sun was setting, and the water made the light of the fish dance on the walls. It was a phenomenal sight. The flowers yearned for their soft blue lights, and the pebbles shone brighter. The fishes, as if choreographed, spelled out the words, “Find him. He will rule, and you will be free.” The boy was confused, but his mind displayed a picture of a child around his age. The child had bright blue eyes, and silky brown hair. There was a sudden calling in the air, the wind screaming. Trees at the top of the hole, where the water was suddenly turning murky again, were shaking violently. The rocks and sticks on the ground scattered to the woods, and grass carpeted a path. The boy felt a sudden surge of power to his legs, and took on running. The moon was high in the sky, and was giving him a purple soft light. The dirt ahead of him kept changing to grass, as if the grass didn’t want his feet to get dirty. After running for what seemed like a long time, a building suddenly rose from the ground. He thought it was a magic, but nonetheless, the ground was a drop, hiding the building

unless you were actively looking for it. The building itself had perfect hedges, a perfect design, baby blue for the color of the outdoor walls, and symmetrical shingles. He hated it. It felt fake, almost vain. The dirty and nature of the woods were nonexistent in this creepy perfect paradise. It was quiet, sans the sounds of disturbing noises. The noises, were strange. THen, as his mind floated him memories and words, the sounds became more familiar. It was “Cars. Glass. Screeching Tires. Beeping noises of construction sites. People running around, going to indoor malls. The smell of petroleum and gas was mixed with the smell of There were no cracks on the roads, sidewalks, everyone was fast asleep. THere was a taco store, overrun by garbage in the alley. THere was a secret this city was trying to hide. The alley was full of smoke, broken lights, shattered glass and broke-in windows. The Store had locks on all doors except for the plastered sunny front doors.
