Hmm, do I need to add an off switch for notifications here?

No this is a quick summary of my first reaction

@Dan since my classmates won’t stop spamming the chat I keep getting notifications, so when I saw the bell I thought that it would work the same way the school’s would (giving you notifications for every single comment made on a conversation you joined)

When I saw that it only notified when somebody mentioned you I calmed down lol

I've tried to be smart about it - It'll collapse multiple notifications together and just say "Multiple mentions in [x]". So hopefully that won't be too much of a problem.
